In reference to my order for the standard back to back lounge seats: Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and appearance of these seats. I would recommend them to a friend. Also, I appreciate the great service from Mr. Steve Leeper.

Things I like about the seats:
1. Available with base heights over 10 inches. It seems other manufacturers don't offer seats with bases higher than 10 inches.
2. Scissor hinges are a better system than other seats that only hinge from one point near the front. They are stronger and easier to operate. They are a little more difficult to assemble, but the end result is worth the effort.
3. The workmanship is nice. Quality control is evident throughout.
4. Packaging was excellent. Seats arrived in perfect condition. Thanks for the extra care here.

Improvements I would suggest:
1. Please, please consider using plastic frames and bases. Seasoned boaters look for any chance to eliminate wood from their boats. All the other manufacturers have changed to plastic.  [Veada has found that we are able to offer the same warranty as plastic, utilize a more rigid construction and offer a better value for the seats when compared to cheap plastic seats that sacrifice structural stability for thin plastic]
2. Use stainless screws, t-nuts and staples. In particular, the mild steel t-nuts cause problems in the marine environment. I challenge you to remove one that is five years old, in a salt water environment. [Veada uses all stainless steel hardware and 100% aluminum hinges]
3. The seats would be more comfortable if the seats and backs were lengthened by a few inches. The proportions are small for adults. Width is OK.

Thanks for great service, and a great product. Please let me know if I can answer any questions.

The new boat lounge seats are working out great. They fit just right; they're comfortable; they provide good storage; and they look nice with our boat.

I am attaching pics of the boat in the water with the new seats installed. As you can see, they fit the color scheme of my 78 Starcraft Holiday 14 very nicely and are also a good size fit (it wasn't easy for me find seats that were not too high for my boat). They are quite comfortable and because they are a little higher than the old seats they position me to see over the windshield which I have always done with a cushion. This boat is now in its 34th year and I am sad to lose the original seats but if they had to go these Veadas are about as close to perfect a replacement as I could wish! (My daughter and I picked the boat out together when she was 5 years old and we enjoyed it all through her growing up in Pa and Mo. I brought it here 13 years ago when I retired.)

Feel free to use the photos as you wish - publish any or all of them if you like. The river I was on yesterday is the Blackwater and the launch site was at Carpenter Park in Milton, Florida.

The seats arrived ahead of sched and in good shape. As I said on the phone, installation was intuitive except for the folding brackets. The solution I did not see for quite a while was the need not to tighten the bolts down onto the connecting brackets. It took me a long time to figure that out! A simple note in the box, or even a message stamped next to the bolts -"Do Not Tighten Down Completly After Installing Bracket"- would have saved me some wasted time and energy Sat morning. My wife and I tried every thing to get them to work with the bolts tight and because the seat was almost impossible to operate unless installed I installed it on my work bench to try to make it operate. Finally, I noticed on the second seat that the bolts were only half way in and took that as a message from you guys to put them back that way! Voila-it worked! Thanks for the good work of all of you at Veada - and for the good old American craftsmanship!!!! Glad to know it is alive and well somewhere!

My boat has been in the shop with motor issues. I finally installed the new boat seats and they look great. When my original base would not fit the 5 inch seat bolt pattern Veada was extremely helpful and shipped the new base quickly and without shipping charges. I am glad I got the adjustable base for the helm seat it works perfectly to adjust for the different people driving the boat. Everyone at Veada was very helpful and accommodating. I will certainly purchase any other items from Veada as I continue restoring my 88 searay.

Your lounge boat seats are great! The quality of your product is something to be proud of. I wish I would have replaced my boat seats years ago. I have recommended your product to at least 6 boat owners that I know. Extremely satisfied.

These boat lounge seats are great and are making my restoring project look very professional. They are so nice I decided not to have some additional seat backs recovered, but to order the same color combination from you. When I am done this 21 year old boat will look like new again. Thanks for making such a great product.

It’s a pleasure to buy American because I can always count on the quality and pride in workmanship. I will definitely keep you in mind for future products and I have already recommended you to my friends.  Keep up the quality and the good work,

The boat lounge seats are beautiful, although we may be a little old to do the contortionist routines necessary to put them in. Of course we have never installed boat seats before so that could have had something to do with it. We finally got them in and they look great. It turned out that I made a mistake ordering the seats when I specified six inch bases. The ones that were in the boat were eight inch. However I felt like I didn't have enough room to fit under the steering wheel comfortably and the six inch bases fixed the problem! So all in all I am very happy. However, on the down side (you just knew there had to be one, right?) the sewers welt cord you sent is not SRT Hartferd Sand X. It is a light grey, I have no idea what the name of the color is. What do we need to do? Aside from that though, as I say, we are very happy with the seats. Thank you very much for the terrific service.

The back to back seats arrived in perfect condition yesterday. I attached the back to back seats to the bases last night and will attempt to bolt the base/seat combo's into the boat this weekend. I probably should have ordered a whiter white for the background color, but the back to back seats look great! Thanks for the very quick service. I'll send some pictures of the installation as it progresses.

We are not completely satisfied with the design of the seats. Access into the cargo boxes is very limited. The design of the previous seats allowed full access into the cargo boxes. [Full storage available on Veada Standard Boat Lounge Seats w/ Storage]

It has been hard to find a good quality boat seat with build "options". It was easy to install - now lets enjoy the summer with new seats!

We purchased a pair of lounge back to back seats for our Glasply. We are very impressed with the boat seats and are happy with our purchase. We like the boat seats better than the original back to back seats. The service was fantastic and we have already recommended Veada to a friend and a relative. I plan on buying some of the marine vinyl to cover a cushion to match the boat seats. Thank you very much for the quality product and impeccable service.

The seats fit great and are good looking. Pros -- Very well built and smooth to work. Cons-- Kinda hard when sitting on them, hope they will soften up in time. The back hits the wrong part of your back. Other than that I'm happy with your product. Got some more work to do to the boat. One more weekend and then off to the water. I'm a public safety diver for the sheriff dive team so I'm on the water all the time. Thank you for your prompt service.

Our seat we ordered arrived yesterday, and I must say, the quality of construction is quite surprising. The use of marine plywood (3/4 inch no less) and stainless steel/aluminum hardware will make this a long term investment rather than an interim solution. The stitching quality is great and and I'm truly impressed with how nice it looks. Usually, when replacing a factory installed part, you can notice almost immediately that the part is after-market. Not in this case. We have a 1989 Grady White Tournament, and this could have come directly from the GW factory upon delivery.

Seats installed easily - fairly comfortable - a little lighter in construction than the Searay seats they replaced but much more economical. ($500 vs $1500 for OEM). All - in - all a good value.

The seats arrived in good shape. They were packed very well. I have included pictures of the install into my 1968 Larson All-American boat that I have restored for less than 1K including the cost of the seats. I have done fiberglass repair, replaced carpet, built new side panels, and installed your seats. However I do have two suggestions: Because the seats do not open for ease of access, their mounting boards should have holes pre-drilled. Perhaps a spring latch where the seats can actually come off for ease of accessing storage. The way it is built, I cannot put ski jackets under the seat even though there is plenty of room. The only opening is from the side with partially open. (Storage option available on Standard and Large Lounge Seats.) I am pleased with the quality of the seats.

"I really enjoyed the great service and receiving the boat upholstery I ordered. I am doing my first marine upholstery job using the marine vinyl I ordered from you. I think I have more on the floor then in the boat. Next thing I will order are the lounge seats and jump seats to match my upholstery. Thank you for the great service."
